Reality Based Self Defence Boot Camps
UKMA Krav Maga is an independant Krav Maga and Self Defence group with it HQ based in Tring, Hertfordshire.
UKMA Krav Maga was founded by Chief Instructor Christopher Allen, who has personally trained with Moni Aizik of Commando Krav Maga and Amnon Maor of Maor Krav Maga Israel.
UKMA Krav Maga does not make any claims that our techniques are used by any military organisation. We approach all situations from a civilian's perspective, seeking solutions to "common" self defence scenarios.
UKMA Krav Maga had previously been afiliated with Commando Krav Maga, since January 2010 we decided that we would be able to offer a more flexible and cost effective training opportunity to our students by forming an independant group of clubs and teaching our own syllabus called Krav Concepts™.

Our Krav Concepts™ syllabus incorporates a variety of technqiues, tactics and strategies from various Krav Maga and other reality based self defence systems to give students a well rounded understanding of self defence possibilities in all scenarios. Our syllabus makes no claims to have been taught to military personnel, instead it seeks to provide skills to defend civilians against the most common forms of violence and crime that are faced on the streets.
Krav Concepts™ approaches each self defence scenario with the simplest and most direct solution which is why wehave retained the term Krav Maga to describe our training as we feel that this title sums up our approach best.
Pressure Testing and External Training - Only 25% of our training is within the dojo, we practice our skills in urban areas such as streets, car parks, night clubs and utilise other "greener" areas such as fields, tow paths and woodland. Krav Concepts strives to provide 100% reality based scenarios and these aren't often found in nice warm dojo's.
Fitness - UKMA Krav Maga believes that the fitter you are the longer you will last in a confrontation, so fitness constitutes a large part of our training.

Why attend a UKMA Krav Maga Boot Camp?
UKMA Boot camps provide an accelerated learning opportunity, it proivdes students with all the self defence skills they need to defend themselves within an intensive course rather than over a period of 2-3 months. They are an ideal way to accelerate your learning of vital life saving skills which you can apply straight away.
You will UNDERSTAND HOW TO DEFEAT ANY ATTACKER, including attackers armed with knives, guns, bottles, baseball bats, etc. In addition, you’ll learn how to control or debilitate your opponent immediately irrespective of size, training background or experience level.
Where are the boot camps held?
The day or two day courses are held at various locations around Tring, along with selected outdoor locations which we access at different times of the day. If you join our two day course you will train in both urban and country settings during the day and night.
Do you offer instructor courses?
Yes we do, to become an insructor with UKMA you should have at least a 1st degree Black Belt in a suitable stand up martial art or have 3-4 years Krav Maga training experience - contact the office on 0845 094 8805 for more details
